I am unreasonably and unduly excited to share the first look at the coffee book I’ve been working on for the past two years: Coffee, For Here.

(heyyyyy, that’s the name of this newsletter!)

This has been one of the most humbling and difficult projects I’ve ever taken on but I don’t know if I’ve ever been more proud of something. Coffee, For Here is a handbook and practical guide to making incredible coffee at home, no matter how you take it.

In this book, you’ll find recipes and techniques for numerous brewing methods, the history and nature of coffee, making espresso at-home, and 40 coffee signature beverages that range from beginner recipes to the drinks I’ve served in barista championships. There are also essays and short stories from my years as a barista.

It’s hard not to get a little sappy here. I’ll rein myself in from writing too many paragraphs but this is a project I’ve dreamed about sharing for a long time and has allowed me to work with so many talented collaborators. All of this is just a sneak peek at what is a visually stunning book. I’ve had the privilege of working with the wonderful team at Clarkson Potter along with Eric Medsker for photographs and Liz Chai for illustrations. Truly a dream team.

I can’t wait for this book to get to your hands and can’t thank you enough for all the support over the years. None of this would happen if not for you and this love of coffee that we all share.
